Concert « Dialogues baroques : Bach et Vivaldi » par le Trio du Levant (violon, hautbois et orgue)

The Trio du Levant brings together three passionate young musicians. Judith Laithier (oboe), Justin Paviot (violin) and Nicolas Kilhoffer (organ) perform in France and abroad, sharing a luminous Baroque repertoire, carried here by two masterpieces: Johann Sebastian Bach?s Double Concerto for violin and oboe in C minor BWV 1060R and Antonio Vivaldi?s Double Concerto for violin and oboe in G minor RV 576. The great organ of Villedieu-les-Poêles, of purely French aesthetic, will dialogue with the violin and oboe, sometimes in trio formation, sometimes through organ pieces by Nicolas de Grigny and Louis Marchand. The program concludes with an improvisation by Nicolas Kilhoffer, a living testimony to the tradition of freedom and creativity that the French organ has carried for centuries. Committed to a process of transmission, the three musicians, still students, wish to make classical music accessible to as many people as possible, especially the younger generation.
