Champrépus Zoo

An animal jewel in Normandy

Founded in 1986, Champrepus Zoo covers over 10 hectares and is home to an incredible diversity of animal species from all over the world. From the moment you arrive, you’ll be amazed by the care and attention lavished on this park, where the Normandy bocage blends harmoniously with the exotic habitats created for the animals.

A committed Zoo

The zoo is divided into several themed zones, each representing a different ecosystem. From tropical jungles to African plains, arid deserts and polar regions, each area transports you into a new universe. You’ll have the chance to meet iconic species such as majestic lions with their manes blowing in the wind, red pandas with their cute little faces, mischievous gibbons and many more.

What particularly sets Champrepus Zoo apart is its commitment to the conservation and preservation of biodiversity. The park participates in numerous breeding programs for endangered species, helping to safeguard some of the planet’s most vulnerable creatures. Special areas are dedicated to these conservation initiatives, where you can learn more about the challenges faced by these species and the day-to-day actions you can take to protect them.

In addition to its preservation mission, Champrepus Zoo also strives to educate the public about the importance of conservation and respect for the environment. Informative panels scattered throughout the park provide valuable information on the different species and the ecosystems to which they belong.

For the little ones, the zoo offers a large play area, completely refurbished in 2024, specially designed for safe fun.
