Could you summarize your career path for us?
I started out as a designer and manufacturer of designer lighting and interior decoration for both private and professional customers, but this year I’ve added the restoration of antique chandeliers and lighting fixtures, and the sale of re-editions and antiques to my range. Passionate about my craft, I’m keen to pass on and share my experience.
What does your job involve?
I’m a designer and manufacturer of lighting fixtures, ceiling lights, lamps, floor lamps and sconces, both made-to-measure and complete ranges. I start by working on the design before taking particular care with the materials. I also restore, re-electrify and sell chandeliers and antique lighting fixtures to private customers, national monuments and even local authorities.
What techniques do you use?
I work mainly with solid oak wood, to create a pure design piece with a perfect finish. Each piece is numbered and unique. For chandeliers, dismantling is meticulous. Then it’s time to clean, repair if necessary and re-electrify. I also offer an on-site removal and installation service.
What’s your signature piece?
It’s the Artisto remote floor lamp. It’s a superb, imposing piece, 2.30 m high and 1.50 m wide.
