The Villedieu Intercom Tourist Office -Vitrine des Métiers d’art is equipped to welcome people with disabilities, and our team is on hand to offer a warm welcome and advice to help you make the most of your stay.

Visual disability

  • In our tourist office, a guide strip facilitates access to the reception desk from the entrance.
  • The entrance door is automatic and opens sideways. Its windows are marked with white stripes.
  • In the reception area, a system of icons facilitates access to information.
  • Guide dogs are allowed in the tourist office.
  • Historical tours in Braille and large print with thermo-inflated images are available at reception (can be borrowed for a deposit for self-guided tours).
  • Tourist guides in Braille and large print are available for consultation at reception.
  • The reception area is equipped with blinds to limit backlighting.
  • Our website has a text enlargement option for the visually impaired, indicated by : A – and A +

Hearing impairment

  • A magnetic loop enables tourist office staff to be heard in all rooms.
  • An amplifier installed at the reception desk enables the tourist advisors to be better heard when making enquiries.
  • A slate is available at reception to enable the deaf or hard-of-hearing to communicate in writing with the tourist advisors.

Mental disability

  • In the reception area, a system of icons provides easier access to information.
  • Easy-to-read and understand (FALC) tourist guides are available at reception.
  • Historical tours in Easy to Read and Understand (FALC) are available at reception.

Motor disabilities

  • The tourist office is accessible to people with reduced mobility.
  • The entrance door is automatic and opens sideways.
  • There are no steps or slopes at the entrance or in the exhibition area.
  • Sitting chairs are available at reception.
  • The reception desk has a wheelchair-accessible area.
  • A 24-hour information terminal is available outside the tourist office. This terminal can be raised to the height of wheelchair users.
  • Accessibility standards have been applied to the toilets at the rear of the building.

Tourism & Handicap

The Tourist Office holds the Tourisme & Handicap label. It is accessible to people with reduced mobility, and meets the needs of the hearing-, visually- and mentally-impaired. Our team is trained to welcome people with disabilities and is ready to welcome you all year round to help and advise you before and during your stay.
