Claudine Mussawir, teacher and poet, discovered Hambye Abbey and its owner, Elisabeth Beck, a few years ago. Seduced by the magic of the place and Elisabeth?s personality, she returns there on a regular pilgrimage. Her tribute, published by OREP under the title Abbaye de Hambye, d?Ombres et de Lumières, bears witness to this encounter.
For the evening, Claudine Mussawir will read poetic texts that capture the very essence of the abbey in the candlelit chapter house.
The evening will conclude with a guided tour at dusk in the company of Jean-Paul Ollivier, former DRAC of Normandy and President of the Association of Friends of the Abbey.
