Could you briefly introduce yourself?
I’ve been a ceramist for 10 years. It’s a conversion that dates back to 2014. I was trained by an Italian master from 2013 to 2015. I opened a first location in the Paris region in 2017, which won awards for business creation and female entrepreneurship in 2016. It was a 3-in-1 workshop-boutique in Pantin: a production and sales space, a transmission space with the organization of courses and internships, and a coworking space for young professional ceramists (often at the beginning of their installation). Now based in Percy since 2021, I create sculptures for international decorating professionals and I’m relaunching my teaching activity, mainly through workshops. I have a real taste for transmission.
What does your job involve?
I’m a turner by training and I’ve also trained in the molecular research of high-temperature enamels. I combine these two skills in my work: 3D volume and multicolored composition. I currently work mainly for international clients. I have been a member of Ateliers d’art de France since 2018.
What techniques do you use?
I mainly use the wheel and apply personal glaze compositions. For my sculptures, I also add elements modeled on the plate. Since the end of 2023, I’ve also been working with other elements in porcelain and brass. I have also trained in the ancestral Japanese technique of Kintsugi and copper galvanizing. I use kintsugi regularly on my pieces that have micro-cracks in the glaze.
What is the most emblematic piece in your work?
I particularly like my “Les Poupées” series from the Picture collection because it represents my work well: minimalist form and cameos of blue-tone enamels.
